Your guide, Iryna Drozdovska
"Every journey begins with the first step! As soon as I graduated from high school, I immediately knew that my interest and direction was entrepreneurship. Already at the age of 19, I opened my first business - an advertising agency. The entrepreneurial experience was essential on my path to becoming a Montessori school leader and owner.

I have always been passionate about international relations and different cultures - this is how the idea of opening small cozy schools with quality education and service, which would serve not only the local community of the city, but also foreign families, was born. Thanks to our partnership with Jeff Frank and our shared dreams, 4 schools have been created.

I want this course to inspire you to start new projects or take a fresh look at an existing business! One of my goals is to give you hands-on experience so you can learn and innovate all at once."

Your guide, Jeff Frank

“Throughout my journey, I have gone from seeker to student, teacher to mentor, and then to partner and school leader. Mentorship and collaboration, alongside patience, self-reflection, and inspiration, have become the essential tools for my personal and professional growth.

Leadership in Montessori is about the child, who is always in the spotlight as a hope and a promise for people and our future. At Hopscotch Montessori, we incorporate this principle into our daily communication and work - from school leadership to classroom teaching. This idea inspires and motivates me to explore and share new approaches to leadership that embrace pedagogical, psychological, personal, professional, and even spiritual aspects in one coherent philosophy.”

By the time I started the Entrepreneurship in Montessori course, I already had experience managing a campus of a Montessori preschool. Initially, I believed the course would help me organize that experience, understand the mistakes I had made, and learn how to avoid them in the future. All of these expectations were met. However, the course also became a profound source of inspiration and transformation for me, revealing a new perspective on the role of a Montessori school leader.

When I joined Hopscotch Montessori as an educator, I was struck by the team's professionalism and the warm atmosphere—characterized by a genuine sense of love and acceptance towards families and one another. After completing the course, I gained valuable insights into how to build such a team. Furthermore, I learned how to establish a school from the ground up, step by step, while maintaining high standards of quality and nurturing the core value of human relationships.

Even now, I periodically revisit the course lectures; they continue to provide me with fresh ideas and solutions, inspiring me during moments of fatigue. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to Hopscotch Hub and especially to Iryna Drozdovska for this opportunity. I wholeheartedly recommend this course to all my Montessori colleagues.

The most valuable aspect of the Entrepreneurship in Montessori course for me was learning about school administration. Throughout the 9 modules, everything from developing an entrepreneurial mindset to understanding that this is a calling rather than just a job deeply resonated with me. This perspective gave me more clarity and strength to persevere through challenges.

The course was extremely helpful because the instructions and guides were detailed and well-structured. I can easily refer back to the materials whenever I need to refresh my memory or review something I might have missed. It also enabled me to identify problems effectively and apply the necessary principles in my work. I appreciated the opportunity to dive deep into the material and study it thoroughly, which allowed me to implement what I learned in my daily school operations.

Iryna and Jeff were incredibly humble and kind, always providing thoughtful answers to all my questions. I’m truly grateful for this course and the knowledge it has given me.

The Entrepreneurship in Montessori course is like a ladder, with each step firmly building on the previous ones. Before this course, I approached managing our school’s operations intuitively—everything seemed to be working out, but it was unclear where we were headed as a business, and I lacked a complete picture of all the processes. Whenever difficulties arose with families, students, or team members, I often found myself wondering what had led to them.

During the course, I began to see everything fall into place: the gaps in management, brand positioning, and finances finally came to light. Additionally, I had the opportunity to discuss the specifics of our situation with the guides, which helped clarify where we are now and what our mission, vision, and goals are. What I appreciated most was that all the knowledge was presented through the lens of my specific experience and situation. The amount of homework is also substantial; it requires deep immersion and reflection. However, it’s worth it, and I found the Route on team management especially valuable.

I believe that anyone responsible for managing academic programs, leading teaching teams, or driving school development would find this course highly beneficial!

The Entrepreneurship in Montessori course provided me with a unique blend of entrepreneurial mindset and leadership skills tailored to the educational field, making it highly relevant to my role as a Montessori Academic Director. The course content was well-structured and easy to follow, with practical takeaways that I can implement immediately. I now feel more confident in my ability to lead with innovation and purpose.

I appreciated how the course offered practical strategies for managing internal and external school communications and introduced creative approaches to problem-solving that are essential in a Montessori environment. The focus on adaptability, resilience, and long-term vision resonated deeply with me, as these values are crucial in both educational leadership and Montessori philosophy.

I would highly recommend this course to school administrators, directors, and educational leaders who seek to innovate and integrate more entrepreneurial thinking into their practice.
